What are your favorite animatronics? Least favorite?
For me, my favorite to least favorite are:
1. Bonnie
I didn't care too much at Bonnie at first, since to me he didn't seem that special. He eventually started to grow on me though, and became my favorite. In my opinion, he's one of the creepiest animatronics, and I love how he stares right up into the cameras at the player. As far as Withered Bonnie goes, for some reason, I don't feel like I'm in that much danger around him. I mean, I know he sneaks into the office a lot to attack you, but because of all his missing parts, I feel more sympathetic towards him.
2. Springtrap
Springtrap is creepy. Especially since I played the 3rd game blind, and knew nothing about the game before-hand. I started up Night 3 after dying and had this picture appear i.imgur.com/lnAdCCg.png
I feel like I shouldn't like Springtrap because of who he is, but he makes such a great villain. He's smarter than the other animatronics were. He hides in the cameras and is very hard to see unless he wants you to see him, in which case he's staring at you in the camera to scare you. He also likes to mess with you like he's playing with his prey, which adds to his creepiness factor.
3. Freddy
I went through a phase where Freddy was my favorite. He sort of lures you into a false sense of security in the first game. The first several nights, he just stays on the stage, so when I played it, I had the attitude of "I don't have to worry about Freddy. He's not trying to go after me." Hehe, little did I know. Even though there's the other animatronics wandering around, I feel as if it's more between me and Freddy, like he's the main one I have to worry about, and that he's the smartest of the bunch.
With that said, I don't find him too scary. The way he stares up into the camera when he's right next to your room looks more cute than scary to me. Oddly enough, I feel safer with Freddy being in the group than I would if he wasn't. I feel like if he wasn't there, the others might be more aggressive.
I don't care too much for Withered Freddy. I don't dislike him, but he doesn't seem special to me, really.
4. Foxy
Foxy was my original favorite. He was the mysterious animatronic in the first game who you didn't expect, and had to always fear. He was the most unique out of the main four. Somewhere along the way though, Freddy took the spot as my favorite, and then later, Bonnie took that spot.
In the 2nd game, due to how many animatronics there were, he became less special than he was in the 1st game. He was still unique in the fact that he's the only one other than the puppet who isn't tricked by the mask, but it wasn't quite the same feeling he gave in the 1st game. By the 3rd game, he sort of became "just another animatronic" it felt like. Everything that made him special in the other games was taken away unfortunately. At least, that's how it feels to me.
5. Golden Freddy
Golden Freddy is interesting. He's hard to explain. A lot of people say he's a hallucination, but he's also possessed by one of the dead children as well, meaning he has to exist. But then, there's a 5th mask that's invisible in the ending screen in the 3rd game, which I'm pretty sure is supposed to be Golden Freddy. So it's kind of like... Golden Freddy is there, but also isn't at the same time. I never actually had Golden Freddy show up for me in the 1st game, so I don't know what it's like to have him appear when you don't expect it.
6. Toy Bonnie
I don't tend to like the toy animatronics much, but a lot of fan art out there has made me like Toy Bonnie a little. He seems the most changed out of the toy animatronics, not counting Mangle who is so different that I often forget it's supposed to be Foxy's replacement.
7. Chica
I don't really care that much for Chica, to be honest. Withered Chica is a different story, however, since she's my favorite out of the Withered animatronics. She's damaged to such an extreme, and looks barely functional. Her jaw being broken and in the position it's in, not being able to lower her arms down, and having no hands and wires pouring out of them looks terrifying. Yet because her arms are stretched out, it also sort of looks like she's trying to protect someone. I kind of feel sorry for her due to how bad of shape she's in.
8. Mangle
I am indifferent towards Mangle. She (he?) is creepy, and definitely looks like something straight out of a horror story. The fact that she clings to the ceiling is also pretty terrifying.
9. Balloon Boy
I don't really like Balloon Boy that much, but I don't hate him like most other people do. I didn't like him at all in the 2nd game, but I started liking him more after the 3rd game, especially with his minigame.
10. Toy Chica
Toy Chica is disturbing. If she kept her beak and eyes on, it wouldn't be so bad, but she just looks so... evil, and she doesn't even look cute to me to make her less creepy.
11. Puppet
I don't like the puppet. He's downright terrifying, and seems to want vengeance more than any of the others. Not to mention how creepy it is when he gets right up in your face and stares into your eyes, and follows you whenever you try to look away.
12. Toy Freddy
I don't like Toy Freddy. I don't like him at all. He's creepy and not appealing at all to me. Keep him away from me.
